NGCB Teams Goes Through Level 1 Team Building Program
The IBS Centre of Excellence (COE) continues to provide a safe space for professional excellence and workplace synergy through its Level 1 Team Building Program. This year, we proudly welcomed back our long-term client, the National Gaming Control Board (NGCB), for yet another enriching training experience, hosting three batches of employees, totaling 57 participants.

Batch One brought together 18 staff members, followed by 22 staff in Batch Two, and 17 in Batch Three. The three-day training for Batch One, Batch Two and Batch Three were held from, June 27th – 29th, July 4th–6th and July 11th–13th, 2025, respectively at the IBS Mt. Eriama Center of Excellence.

The Level 1 Team Building Program have 11 key outcomes, each targeting a fundamental skill for workplace success. The NGCB staff members had the opportunity to be self-aware by learning to identify their own strengths and weaknesses while gaining a deeper appreciation of their teammates’ unique abilities and weaknesses. The programme sharpens communication and interpersonal skills, strengthens leadership and motivational abilities, and enhances critical thinking for better decision-making and problem-solving.

The sessions also create a space for participants to develop practical workplace competencies as in planning and organizing to time and resource management. As well as conflict resolution and risk management strategies to find solutions to challenges with confidence and clarity. Ultimately, the programme creates team bonds, trust, and cohesiveness.

Director for Corporate Affairs at NGCB, Ms. Rosinah Wari, shares her experience as a participant of the Batch Two staff members, she said,“It was an amazing experience for everyone. This programme helps break down the barriers we have and encourages us to co-actively work together to achieve our organizational goals.”
She captured the essence of what the IBS Centre of Excellence stands for, an excellent professional development center that provides a safe and dynamic learning space where teams can strengthen relationships, rediscover their purpose, and develop the skills to lead with impact.

Through table discussions, team challenges, and reflective exercises, NGCB participants learned the importance of communication with purpose, collaboration with empathy, and leadership with integrity.
As organizations continue to evolve in today’s fast-paced business environment, programmes like the IBS COE Team Building Level 1 does the magic of team knitting and people-centered growth. IBS COE acknowledges NGCB for giving their employees an opportunity toward nurturing confident, resilient, and strong teams that are capable of achieving more together.
